This “End Grain” configuration of the individual pc’s of wood provides the very best cutting surface for knives, in preserving the sharp cutting edge, as compared to “Face Grain” or “Edge Grain” Boards.
 
Only Hardwoods with a Food Safe, closed cell structure are used in this Handmade  Cutting Board. Primary hardwoods used are Walnut, Hard Maple, Cherry and Paduk. All Hardwoods are cut and glued together(glue is food grade & water proof) whereby the End Grain of the individual PC’s are making up the cutting surface of the board.  This board includes a Juice Groove around the perimeter of the board. There are NO stains used in this Cutting board, the colors are strictly that of the individual wood species. This Cutting board includes rubber feet, screwed into the underside of the board. The finish includes a Food Grade Mineral Oil Bath, followed by a Wood Balm “Rub”, made of Mineral Oil and Beeswax.
