This board has it all, serving as both a cutting and serving board. At 14 inches wide—2.5 inches wider than our signature large cutting board—it includes decorative curved ends, enhancing its appeal as a serving piece. Only hardwoods with a food-safe, closed-cell structure are used in its construction. The primary hardwood in this board is Cherry, with accents of Walnut, Hard Maple, and Padauk.
 
Each hardwood is cut into strips, turned on edge, and glued together using food-grade, waterproof glue. This creates a stable edge-grain surface on both the top and bottom of the board, reducing the risk of warping. Additionally, an edge-grain cutting board is gentler on knife edges than face-grain boards.
 
No stains are used; the colors are purely those of the individual wood species. The board is finished with a food-grade mineral oil bath, followed by a hand-applied wood balm made of mineral oil and beeswax.
