Only Hardwoods with a Food Safe, closed cell structure are used. Primary hardwoods used are Walnut, Hard Maple, Cherry and Paduk. The typical Charcuterie Board includes a face board down the middle with Edge Glued strips along each side. The edge glued side strips provide stability to the board while also providing various colors and beauty. The Charcuterie Board is meant for food presentation, and NOT cutting, hence the board is thinner and easy to handle. There are NO stains used in this board, the colors are strictly that of the individual wood species. The finish includes a Food Grade Mineral Oil Bath, followed by a Wood Balm “Rub”, made of Mineral Oil and Beeswax.
